The Guest Events Department of Messe Friedrichshafen organises events tailored to your wishes.
Nothing’s impossible. With around 500 guest events per year the exhibition centre in Friedrichshafen constantly puts it´s adaptability to the test. Whether it is conferences, corporate events or trade
fairs, with 12 halls, around 85,000 m² of exhibition space, flexi-size conference rooms, two central outdoor exhibition areas and the Messe Lake, we have unlimited scope for realising our clients’
individual ideas. Any event can be staged here – starting from small rooms to hire for 15 people
all the way through to guest exhibitions with around 1,700 exhibitors. Our clients value this flexibility which is why they include both companies from the local region as well as international firms
who see Friedrichshafen as the ideal place to attract customers from Switzerland and Austria. Messe Fakuma, which presents the world of plastics technology, has been a “regular” at Messe
Friedrichshafen for over 30 years. We also play host to the in-house exhibitions BODAN, Movera and Fameba which have been staged together here successfully for around 10 years.
From wedding dress to precision engineering – it’s all here. The broad spectrum of events is also reflected in the various issues tackled every day by the team around Head of Guest Events + Business Development, Thomas Grunewald. From sport, technology and hobbies to meat or bakery supplies, everything runs together in the Guest Events Department, ensuring that Coordinators Eva Knoblauch and Ina Kolenda are never bored. This wellrehearsed trio is already familiar with the
wishes of long-standing clients and can deliver exactly the right response. That’s a major advantage because, as the interface between clients, in-house trades and external service providers, solution-oriented action is key. This dedication pays off because events of every size take place at the Friedrichshafen exhibition centre on 300 days of the year. This presents a logistical challenge too because planning needs to take build-up and break-down times as well as the event organisers’ preferred dates and the Messe Friedrichshafen’s fixed event times into account.
New year, new challenges.
Following a successful event year in 2016 with lots of exciting and unusual highlights such as the 2nd Lake Constance Tattoo “Count Zeppelin” whose bagpipe music lured some 3,000 visitors to Hall A1, the team is already looking forward to fresh challenges: the Turning Days guest
exhibition, the Ernst Lorch in-house exhibition, the “1st Handmade Creative Market” and the Munich Airport Roadshow will be taking place here for the first time in 2017. Whether it’s a new client or an old acquaintance, one thing is certain – everything is in the best possible hands
with the Messe Friedrichshafen’s facilitators.
